  • Duration: 7 hours

This bus tour is a celebration of women in leadership roles in West Michigan’s craft beer industry.

The tour begins registration in Downtown Kalamazoo at Old Burdick’s Bar & Grill inside the Radisson Plaza Hotel. If you need help with overnight accommodations, we have a preferred rate through this link.

Drink costs are only included at the four stops listed below, but you are welcome to purchase to-go drinks from Old Burdick’s prior to departure.

The trip first heads to Tantrick Brewing Co. in Allegan. Co-owner Tanya Westover has helped lead this brewery to its relocation in downtown Allegan and addition of a second building for increased beer production. The brewery is now located near the Kalamazoo River and Tantrick is one of the participants in the city’s social district, where guests can order to go drinks and consume them while walking around downtown.

The trek then visits Saugatuck to see Kim Collins, owner and brewer at Guardian Brewing Co., which opened in early 2019. The brewpub is located on the home of the historic Red Barn Theater. Collins and her team revamped the space to house the taproom, kitchen and massive outdoor beer garden.

We’ll then head to Waypost Brewing Co., tucked back on an old fruit farm, where co-owner and head brewer Hannah Lee produces wonderfully crisp, clean beer across a variety of styles. Each guest will receive any three samples or a full pour of their choice as part of the visit.

Our tour then finishes the afternoon with a stop at Three Blondes Brewing Co. Fronted by sisters Amanda Johnson, Carrie Troyer and Megan Zernicke, this South Haven brewery opened in the summer of 2018.

The tour includes a pint or samples at each location, as well as production tours and meet-and-greets with the women behind these emerging breweries. We will also provide complimentary bottles water and snacks on the bus, as well as a large cooler for additional beer purchases during the bus tour.

Food is also available at Tantrick, Guardian and Three Blondes.
