After a hiatus in 2020, we are excited to bring back The Kalamazoo Beer Cup.

We select one craft beer style and invite a handful of regional breweries to present their take on it in a blind tasting for the public.

Territorial Brewing Co. co-owner Tim Davis

For 2022, we’ve partnered with Old Burdick’s Bar and Grill inside the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Downtown Kalamazoo. If you are traveling to the area, we also have a preferred rate at the Radisson through this link.

Each Beer Cup event will feature four 5-ounce pours from different breweries. You may know the breweries participating, but you won’t know which beer is which.

After tasting the beers, guests will select their most favorite. The top scoring beer will take home the beer cup, a massive metal trophy built by Kalamazoo artist Jon Reeves, from his Combat Ready Art inside the Park Trades Center in Downtown Kalamazoo.

An appetizer spread and prizes will also be part of the event. We’ll also lead a style history and tasting tips conversation during the showcase. Each event is $39 per person and will begin at 6:30 p.m. on select Thursdays.
