First Stop

Final Gravity Brewing Co.

“The father/son team of Kevin & Michael Christensen are behind the wonder that is Final Gravity Brewing Company in the small village of Decatur, Michigan. Kevin has been homebrewing for over 15 years, and saw it more as just an awesome hobby. However, as Michael grew up, he picked up the craft as well. The two were asked by the owner of Patchwork Brewing Company to assist in the beer making process, which is how they got their start. When she decided to step down and focus on her family, Kevin and Michael took over ownership of the brewery.Wanting to make it their own, they gave the brewery a facelift and renamed it Final Gravity Brewing Company.”

Arrival: 12:45 p.m.
Departs: 1:45 p.m.

Second Stop

Paw Paw Brewing Co.

“Paw Paw Brewing Company was established in early 2010 by brother-in-laws Ben Fleckestein and Ryan Sylvester. In early December 2010 the door opened for business with four beers on tap, St. James English Mild, Black River Oatmeal Stout, Paw Paw Wheat and 2Paws IPA. Paw Paw Brewing Company’s grand opening celebration was January 21, 2011. Over the course of the first two years Paw Paw Brewing Company became the community place it was intended to be. Many ingredients have gone into creating Paw Paw Brewing as it has become today but none more important than the community and the Paw Paw Brewing Company team.”

Arrival: 2:15 p.m.
Depart: 3:15 p.m. p.m.

Final Stop

Tibbs Brewing Co.

“Tibbs Brewing Company was founded for the love of beer. In November 2007, Kevin began brewing beer in preparation for the holiday gift exchange. Though no one admitted it at the time, those first brews were probably not a family favorite, and may have even been re-gifted as “White Elephant Gifts”. Today, both family and friends are placing their holiday requests far in advance in hopes that their stockings will have a special treat from Tibbs Brewing Company.”

Arrival: 4 p.m.
Departure: 5 p.m.

Termination

Testimonials

  • "I would like to thank you for a wonderful day on Saturday. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day. Andrea and Trevor were great guides. They shared just the right amount of information as the day went on and mingled with the group well. The bus was comfortable and our driver was helpful and courteous. We enjoyed each of the breweries and experiencing what each had to offer both in terms of the beers and ciders and in their individual styles. We received compliments all day about how much fun it was and we owe it all to you. Thank you for providing the organization and hosting such a great event for us!"

  • "We did a private tour for my 40th, and West Michigan Beer Tour provided us a great time! They were great to work with in terms of planning it, answering questions and changing things as needed. It was well organized, and it was great to just be there to enjoy the day, rather than having to organize things myself. The tour guides were great too. This was a great way to gather friends and family together, as all ages can enjoy this! This was my 2nd tour, I had been part of a bike tour last summer, and that also was great fun! I would definitely recommend the tours either privately or as part of public tour."
