West Michigan Beer Tours is dedicated to providing beer lovers with fun, flavorful and relaxing tours. We encourage every passenger to drink responsibly and have a designated driver. After each tour we will also provide access to a local taxi service. While we encourage everyone to purchase beer at the breweries to take with you, we do not allow any consumption on the buses. If any of our tour directors have reason to believe that a person is intoxicated prior to a tour, we reserve the right to turn them away. If a person is turned away due to intoxication no refund will be provided.
Unless a tour is cancelled all tours are non-refundable.
Please note: The tours below appear in reverse chronological order.
Get in the Halloween mood with this spooky tour featuring a brewery with a haunt, one of Kalamazoo’s best haunted attractions and try some great fall seasonal beers. Be prepared for a night of frights, flights and fun. Our Halloween tour will begin at Shakespeare’s Pub in downtown Kalamazoo where pumpkin ales, hard ciders and other autumn classics will be on tap. The group will then make the short jaunt west to Paw Paw Brewing Co. where the crew will get you in the spirit of the season with fall ales and perhaps a few scary surprises. From there, we’ll make way to Psycho Ward & Nightmares, one of Kalamazoo’s best haunted attractions tucked into the woods behind the Kalamazoo Speedway. Enjoy steeply discounted prices and VIP access to the freak fest. We’ll then conclude with a quick ride north to Plainwell’s Old Mill Brewpub. Owner and brewmaster Scott Zylstra plans to serve some of his first beers and offer a tour of the more than 100-year-old building known to be inhabited by a few ghosts.
The Walking Tours of downtown Kalamazoo breweries from West Michigan Beer Tours and Discover Kalamazoo are offered year-round.
West Michigan Beer Tours is also happy to arrange a customizable private walking tour for groups of all sizes. Whether it’s a corporate outing, holiday celebration, birthday party or just a group of friends who want to learn more about the city’s beer culture, we’d be glad to help.
For those looking to book our public walking tours and who need help with overnight accommodations, please consider our discounted rate at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo, or contact our friends at downtown Kalamazoo’s historic bed-and-breakfast, The Kalamazoo House.
